Good product, limited in Azure, mixed reviews with customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The wide range of monitoring it can cover, customisable options
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service can be very condescending at times, rude and they don't always re-read your previous comments.
I also think better azure monitoring would extend the product.
The reporting element has a lot to be desired also.

Most cost effective & reliable monitoring service out there
What do you like best about the product?
Checkmk is by far the most cost effective and reliable monitoring service I've used. We monitor around 30,000 services with it, including physical servers, virtualized linux and windows, and networking hardware. It's also pretty easy to deploy service checks! The agent bakery (Not included in the Raw edition) is a life saver when managing as many agents as we are.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is a bit rough until you get used to it. I've been administering it for 5+ years now and I sometimes struggle where to find the pages I need.

We needed a solution to help monitor our infrastructure.

is the first time we can monitor the correct functioning of the hosted websites so we can have a fast first response in case of downservice.

What do you like best about the product?
CheckMK is its comprehensive monitoring capabilities, which allow for real time visibility into the IT infrastructure. It is easily customize checks and report make it a powerful solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Infrace should more user friendly and it would be nice if it is have less complex features for navigating to configure new services.

Checkmk is solving the problem of efficiently monitoring and managing complex IT infrastructures. By providing real-time insights into the health and performance of our systems.

What do you like best about the product?
i love checkmk, it's a very versatile sysmon software. there's lots of resources online that aren't paywalled.

nonexistant documentation in-software for legacy plugins

Monitoring made easy
What do you like best about the product?
No need to create complex config files by hand for each host. The Auto-Discovery is such a great feature and includes all the important Windows Server Logs and shows Warnings and Critical alerts of those. Also includes Windows Service, CPU / RAM / Disk IO and Filesystem usage and alerts us when services stop or usage is above a cerain limit. Good default limits for alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve for beginners. For example how to ignore certain windows server log warnings or how to handle / remove this alerts (deleting log instead of acknowledging them). So many features in so many (sub) menus - sometimes hard the find the feature you need or which you used 2-3 months ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
checkmk monitors all our windows and linux servers logs, services and other metrics. Also the uptime / availability of our websites and onlineshops. We get alerts before colleagues cant work because of crashed services or full server drives or before customers call us because the onlineshop is down for 2 days already.
Solid monitoring tool with many options and out of the box supported compatability.
What do you like best about the product?
Most of our hardware and software can be monitored out of the box without much setup. CheckMK monitors every minute (default) . You have a very long history of data and it does it all without using a lot of performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though I do really like learning and working with Linux, as a noob Linux can be a bit tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving us great insights in performance of SQL, Windows, Linux, VMware, Veeam, IPMI, Fortigate and Fortiweb.

Great Monitoring Software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy-to-setup monitoring software with excellent customer support and a vibrant community forum. Implementation is straightforward—just install the client, and most host metrics are transmitted automatically. Use it daily for monitoring critical systems and consulting logs when errors occur. It also offers seamless integration with Grafana for creating even more advanced dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features, like client auto-updates, are locked behind the Enterprise tier or higher and are not available in the Raw/open-source version
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All metrics and logs centralized in one location.
Checkmk - is a great product to find network errors, like interface crc errors and more

I really like Checkmk to make sure that our infrastructure - servers and network equipment is running like it should be - I won't miss Checkmk! Checkmk is very easy to implement!

There are no dislike's at the moment - Checkmk is just a great tool!

I give's us an overview to see if everything is running as it should be. And we will get warnings when error's come up.

La instalación y actualizaciones son bastante fáciles incluso las actualizaciones major es un proceso bastante rápido.
Es muy fácil monitorizar todo tipo de servidores ya sean con agente o con snmp, special agent, etc.
Hay muchas integraciones con otras herramientas que facilitan o bien la importación de métricas (por ejemplo, prometheus) o bien la exportación de métricas (por ejemplo influxdb+grafana).

What do you dislike about the product?
Una cosa que no me gustó fue que en la versión 2.2 no se pusiera la integración de Openshift ya que sólo estaba disponible para la versión cloud. Pero he visto que para la 2.3 sí estará disponible. Lo comento simplemente para que sepáis que actualmente estamos en 2.2 y no podemos monitorizar nuestros clusters openshift y nuestro cliente estaba un poco mosqueado por el tema ya que se había anunciado (sin matices) que en la verisón 2.2 se soportaría openshift.
Sólo para custom graph, creo que se podría mejorar el tema de las gráficas para que sea más visuales como lo son en Grafana y que puedan ser dinámicas. Por ejemplo si haces un custom graph de la CPU de varios servidores, que puedas pinchar en un servidor y sólo te muestre su gráfica o pinchas en varios y muestra varias.

Con un único producto puedes monitorizar practicamente toda la infraestructura de la empresa. Incluso puedes tener un inventario actualizado si metes el plugin de mk_inventory.
