Working with Drata has been a dream!
What do you like best about the product?
Communication is vital during the SOC2 process. Our Drata reps are always available and respond with thoughtful, easy-to-understand answers. Drata clearly outlines the process and ensures the team stays on track for completion. For as burdensome as the SOC2 process is, Drata has made it a total breeze thus far!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that comes to mind at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are going through our SOC2 process with Drata. We have learned a tremendous amount and have received fantastic assistance while navigating this process.

- At that time, It seems fully support for SOC 2, ISO 27001 is in development.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata helps us to do the security compliance quickly and permanently. It does well in all phases, from gap analysis to publish the audit report. Additionally, They have also trusted partners with the leading consulting firms in the market.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before Drate, We had a hard time to manually do the ISO 27001 compliance. I remember about six months without clear results. Drata came along, and we realize the SOC 2 should be the first stage for ISO 27001. Using Drata for the first time is very easy. It walks us through the seven steps of onboarding, and their policy templates are so various and good enough to start the paperwork quickly. The technical gap analysis is very useful. The risks are very clear and ready to be addressed. We understand where we are in the compliance progress.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata's customer success team is great and keeps us motivated (Alex is amazing). The tool automates everything from endpoint monitoring to employee onboarding. They also provide templates for policies and recommendations (and discounts) on auditors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints to this point, they have simplified a complex process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't know much about the SOC 2 framework when we started - other than that our customers wanted us to be certified. Drata has helped us down that road, kept us on track, and provided milestone targets to help us reach our goals. Vital to this process.
Simple interface, all the critical integrations, excellent technical support

It distills hundreds of compliance tasks into simple punch lists and keeps you up to date on any failing controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Detailing the personnel and systems that are in scope could be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 audit preparation. Much better prepared much earlier than we thought we would be.

Select your auditor early on to ensure you're focusing on relevant controls sooner.

I like that it makes me figure out what to work on, the documents to produce and it doesn't require me to fish for information.

Some features would be nice to have like if I change my company name from , inc to without Inc. the documents reflect that automatically, or at least give me the option to review all occurrences. Not a big deal, but nice to have.

Seamless Audit Guidance with Drata
What do you like best about the product?
Drata has been an excellent resource for our organization. We are more prepared to complete a SOC2 audit and have visibility of our security standing for our internal employees and contractors. With our team primarily working remotely, Drata has helped us easily capture important compliance information from employee devices without the hassle of manually pulling the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drata is still improving and adding features each month. Some features we'd like to see, such as integrations, are not yet available but are on the roadmap, and we're confident we will see them added soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to view unmet requirements to prepare for security audits easily. Drata has not only given us this insight but also can be used as a source of record for policy information device compliance and employee security training.

Excellent support - very thoughtful and passionate. Wonderful product concept and really good execution.

It's an iterative process, so "dislike" is probably not the right word - may be, there is still room for growth in integrations with other products and platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 compliance is title - but really it's all about a solid security and process posture. Drata does an amazing job of keeping track of all the different controls that are very easily missed.

We are using Drata to help us become SOC II compliant. Their platform has made it clear and simple what we need to do.
Makes getting certified super easy and helps setup ongoing monitors. Drata staff is amazing!

- The staff was amazing; they were available for calls, emails, Slack, etc., almost all day, every day.
- The software provides a ton of integrations: to cloud platforms, HR software, and many other tools.
- The checklist system of setting up monitors is really great for someone whose never done an audit before.
- The monitoring system is excellent for renewals and making sure you don't fall behind on any promised SOC2 Type2 checks.
- Overall the software is super functional and easy to user, the company is constantly making updates to improve.
- The staff was amazing; they were available for calls, emails, Slack, etc., almost all day, every day.
- The software provides a ton of integrations: to cloud platforms, HR software, and many other tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
- We didn't have a need for this, but if you have multiple cloud offers that you want to monitor, make sure you can connect to multiple accounts. e.g., Azure, AWS, GCloud. I don't think this is a very common scenario, but some companies might need this. Drata might already support this BTW, I know they didn't support it in early 2021, but they constantly release improvements, so it might already be resolved.
