    Overview

CFD Direct From the Cloud (Arm) is a complete platform providing OpenFOAM (open source computational fluid dynamics) and supporting software running on a long-term support (LTS) version of Ubuntu Linux. It is the version of CFD Direct From the Cloud (CFDDFC) for instances with Arm-based processors, e.g. C6g, operating in server-mode without graphical applications. Users connect to an instance using SSH. For remote desktop access, please use the standard version of CFDDFC built for instances with x86 processors. OpenFOAM (Open Field Operation and Manipulation) is a free, open source CFD software package which has a large user base across most areas of engineering and science, from both commercial and academic organizations. OpenFOAM can solve anything from complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions, turbulence and heat transfer, to solid dynamics and electromagnetics. OpenFOAM runs in parallel as standard, enabling users to take full advantage of computer hardware at their disposal.

    Highlights

    • Turnkey Installation of OpenFOAM
    • Run batch CFD jobs on-demand with significant cost savings
    • Enables Pay-as-you-go Scalable Parallel Computation
